The Marathon Bible

 

WHAT IS IT?

The Marathon Bible and will guide you every step of the way to conquering your first or 12th marathon. I created this because the marathon can be such a daunting journey- I remember my first and I was asking multiple people lots of questions, getting lots of different answers and just wanted some definitive ones! This bible contains all the knowledge I've gained from 15+yrs of working with runners as a sports scientist & coach. The goal is to get you to the finish line, stronger, faster and more mentally resilient than ever.


Whats in it?

Within this Bible there is everything you could ever need from advice on running shoes to different types of training you will take on. There is tips on fuelling for long runs, the right socks to wear plus how to reduce your risk of injury during your training. Tips on blisters and how to avoid them are in here plus information on trying around your menstrual cycle also. I have added as much information as I could possibly to help you excel.


The plan

The plans are either 17 or 21 weeks. You decide based on timing the length you have. The average week is split into 3 runs and 2 strength sessions, an active recovery day and a full rest day. There is also option to reduce and switch around the training days (you can always contact us to ask any questions related to this too)! Plus There is a warm up and cooldown for each session given plus injury prevention exercises every week along the way.

Ultimately, this bible is your gospel to conquering your next marathon and will guide you every step of the way.
